This course introduces the student to programming concepts unique to the development of games. The emphasis is on creating programs with “2-dimensional” graphics using Microsoft’s DirectX API. Topics will include:
- Windows programming
- Bitmap graphics
- Mouse and Keyboard input
- Animation
- Texture transformation
- Tile mapping
- Audio output
The student will demonstrate his understanding of concepts by designing, coding, and executing several programming assignments.
